Product Description
Springtime isn't all lilacs and babbling brooks. In fact, if you're not prepared, the spastic weather can steal entire weekends of riding from you. The Louis Garneau Geminix Jacket will keep you ahead of the storm and in the saddle when the weather is less than ideal. The Louis Garneau Geminix Jacket is constructed from a combination of WindDry 12k and Micro-Airdry EX fabrics. Both fabrics are lightweight and breathable, and provide consistent ventilation on cold days in the saddle. The front of the Geminix features a two-way reversed zipper, an inner flap, and a cycling-specific collar that work together to offer easy one-handed zips for ventilation. The fit is enhanced by elastic wristbands and a signature gripper at the bottom hem. These help keep the Geminix stay in place when the zippered back pocket is loaded with your multi-tool and energy bars. For night riding, Louis Garneau included reflective piping on the sleeves, and reflective logos on the front and rear of the jacket. The Geminix also features a designated MP3 player pocket. The Louis Garneau Geminix Jacket is available in six sizes from X-Small to XX-Large, and in the colors Ginger, Royal Blue, and Yellow.Product Features

By Hugh C Kelley
I've been riding with this jacket for a few months and have had a black ice crash in it as well. All in all, it has been very comfortable and survived the crash with only a small hole.My complaint is that the color (hi-viz yellow) doesn't wrap around the back - it's basically all black in the space that motorists see. This defeats the point of the yellow. I also think the color has faded a bit - though I wash mine every weekend with Lestoil to get the week's accumulation of grease out of it. Your results may vary there(and the fabric has held up to the washing, even around the hole). It does have what I call a "reverse" zipper, but I've actually gotten used to that now.

Great jacket for sub-50°F riding. The fit is tailored so a size larger will be best if you don't care for a snug fit and like a T or 2 underneath. XXL works fine for my 6'2", 205# size. This is exactly what I needed for winter riding. It felt perfect for today's 36º-38ºF ride with a short and long sleeve T underneath. In yellow, the visibility is pretty high, though I agree with Hugh in his earlier review that the BACK is where visibility is most needed and least included. I'm completely satisfied with this jacket, though just a bit uncertain why the odd double zipper is needed. I've NOT tested its water resistance yet, I'll update later.----update 13 Jan, 2013-----15-mi in a drizzle and dry inside - effective protection from the cold and wet!

By Mark Douma
I purchased this jacket myself and then bought one for a friend as a gift. It is light weight but does a great job of blocking wind and rain.
