Super Bright Flashlight! Fantastic

My only flashlight I had before this was the 3 "D" cell MagLite (standard bulb). That one is about 85 lumens. This SR50 is 800 Lumens! My MagLite would barely illuminate the ground 30 feet ahead of me. The SR50 will light up houses and trees on my block that are 100's of feet down the street.The instructions warn you not to shine this in your eye so be careful who you point it at. The beam can damage your retina.The size and weight are spot on for an everyday light. I was also looking at the larger SR90 at 2200 lumens but the weight and size are less practical plus not sure how much more light I could possibly need.I also bought the Dorcy LED light here on Amazon and a small LED Maglite. Those are also excellent but the SR50 outshines those easily (and those are both bright and smoke the old MagLite).The machining on this product is excellent. It comes in a nice aluminum storage case. For the price it is a great value overall and I would recommend this product to anyone considering it.

Very Bright LED Flashlight

Flashlight is very bright and will work very well as a tactical light to blind intruders. For normal use, it is too bright and the light is bluish. This is why I gave a 4 instead of 5. Also, now that I own it, it is debateable as to whether or not it is worth the cost. Nevertheless, it is a good flashlight if you don't mind the expense.

Top Notch Flashlight!

Everything about this flashlight is Quality!The aluminum casing is machined very nicely, and it is heavy duty.The lens is very high quality, treated glass, and shatter proof.The switch is a bit different from most others, because it is an electronic switch, and not mechanical. Still easy to get use to, and works well.The weight and size of this flashlight is great, it fits right in the palm of your hand, and not to heavy.This light is an excellent choice for any search and rescue, or any outdoor activity.The hot spot is very tight, and it has an extremely long throw.Olight's claim of 700 meters is not exaggerated, when you see this light, you will know it will reach that far! Just super bright and a perfectly focused beam.The fill light is very good at lighting up the surrounding areas.If you like a focused & tight hot spot, then this flashlight will impress you!Battery wise, I've found it will run longer on 6-CR123a batteries than 2-18650'sIf you want to run 18650's in it, you'll need the (not included), battery magazine.When I use mine, I just carry a box of Surefire 123a's, for backup.In the end, this is one great flashlight and at a great price!I'd highly recommend it to any professional, or any camper/backpacker.
