I bought this light for our kitchen. Unfortunately I haden't looked real closely at the size measurements (my fault) it was to be used over our kitchen sink. This thing is HUGE!!! It will not work where I wanted it, but I do plan to put it in our front entrance hall. I was not too impressed with the quailty of this light fixture. The "metal" on it was extremely light- almost felt like spray painted plastic. The Globe itself was not of quality glass either- although,, the color is nice. I have three other schoolhouse repoductions in my kitchen from another website that specializes in this sort of thing. So when you look at the quality difference between the two it's pretty clear how cheaply made it is. I would definitely not pay full price for this light fixture. I got a really good deal on it (opened box) plus we are selling our home, which is why I'm keeping it. It does the job- BUT, if you're looking for quality...this isn't it.

This light is just what we were looking for. The metal quality looks great, but it isn't as "heavy" as I would have liked it to be. But, hanging it looks beautiful and provides more than adequate overhead lighting for our small to medium sized bathroom. The glass easily is matched with all other school house lighting fixtures. This globe is killer! beautiful.
