5Outstanding Device and Service
By Richmond
I have been using this device for about six months. It takes a few times using it to get used to the security protocol, but then it is a snap and much more secure than other "secure" usb devices I have used before. On two occasions I have had problems with the device and the company's response was outstanding. The first time it appeared that several of my files on the drive were scrambled. They sent me a new device and I had to return the older one. On the second occasion I found it difficult to mount the device on a Window's 8 computer. Again, a quick note to the company help desk resulted in them revising the firmware to take care of a checksum issue. Though this second fix took them several weeks to research and fix, they stayed on top of the issue, often contacting me in the process. The fix is now a firmware download on their site. The design of the device is good. It feels solid. It does have a removable vs. sliding cap, but I haven't had any problems with this.Overall, it is not just the piece of hardware that is important but the support behind it. I feel that this device is much better built than some others I have used in the past and that the company stands behind it. In the end, what I purchased was security for my files and not just a microchip.

5Extremely pleased
By Bill
Extremely pleased with the drive. Easy process to unlock and use. It is engineered to do what you expect from an encrypted USB drive. I had the opportunity to use customer service (operator error) and they were a pleasure to work with. This is my second Kanguru drive and I recommend them without reservation.

4Kanguru Defender Basic 32 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive
By Old Snowman
Very good for people needing privacy and data protection with encryptionA bit tricky to use, and problematic if you are not the pc administrator.I was interested in write protection switch only, available on (cheeper and without encryption) Kanguru Flashblu 2 as well. It's a pity that you don't sell it to european customers. What's the problem?
