This shoe has excellent arch support and the design works really well to prevent pronation and encourages proper foot alignment.The Brooks Trance does run about 1/2 size small.

This is my third pair of these sneakers. Absolutely love them. Firm enough to give good arch support for people like me who's arch is fallen. Holds up well in water, mud, chasing kids, running 5Ks and just general wear. Ties up tight and laces do not come untied!!! Breathes nicely so no smelly feet!! Love, love Love them!

Initial comfort quite compelling. I switched to this shoe from the Asics Gel Kayano when Asics changed that shoe. The Brooks Trance 10 did not retain the comfort. The materials quickly lost their resilience. I walk 5 miles per day. Roomy toe box. Order large. I normally wear an 11, but must wear a 12 in the Trance10. Uppers wear well. I will continue to wear the Trance 10 understanding they need to be replaced frequently to be comfortable.
