I installed this on my 1984 KHS Competition 68cm bike, which was originally a 10-speed road bike (5 in the back, 2 up front).I converted it over about a year ago to a full Dura-ace 7700 STI group (9 in the back, 2 up front). But the crankset it came with was stupid short for someone my height (6'5") with long legs, I think it was a 171 or 172.5 cranklength. Also the crankset was a 42t/52t set and I was really struggling going up hills with only a 25t gear in the back.These 180mm cranks fit me perfect, the install was very easy - just removed the old bottom bracket, greased and installed the BB cups included with this crankset, threw the crankarms on and snugged up the holding bolt according to directions, dialed in the front derailleur, installed my pedals and off I went :)It's probably new bike part placibo but getting the correct length crankarms has jumped my avg pace about 3mph on longer rides (50+ mile). I especially feel extra power going up hills, and the 34t small ring made a huge difference in being able to keep spinning at higher rpm's while climbing.
