I just purchased an Apple Mac Air a few months ago in Dec 2011 and was interested in getting the 2tb Apple Time Machine $299 & Apple Superdrive $79 and some sort of USB replicator when I stumbled across this drive. Not very big or heavy and priced well. In fact the $210 price, including a $30 rebate from MFG if you purchase on Amazon in March 2012 made it cheaper still yet @ $190. With this unit you get it all, 1tb hard drive, DVD burner & USB replicator all without using more than one precious USB port on the Air. No CD software was required as it is built in for the Air. I was able to use this on both sides of my Air's partitioned drive using Parallels software with no issues. I installed the discs for Office 2007 and Quicken 2012 (Home, biz & real estate). I have used it now for only a day, but the only negative I have found out so far are that there are 2 powered USB's as described and it will charge an iPhone4 but does not have enough juice to charge an iPad2 though it brought up Apple's iTunes no problem. Make sure you buy the one for MAC if you plan to run with an Apple as there is an identical looking one for the PC's. I think if I was Apricorn, I would of differentiated them a little more, maybe with changing the color of the drive shell.

Turned an HP Netbook into a really usable business instrument. Easy to load software...pretty automatic and auto backup of whats on the netbook system. No space, really portable and has sufficient usb ports...powered and unpowered to do the jobHave already recommended it to several associates and friends

I plugged the unit in after I opened it from the box and it worked instantly. I tried it in my DELL laptop, and my ASUS Netbook. The same thing! Fast and always works. I also added a 500GB Hard drive to the unit and it accesses perfectly each time in any computer. This is a great product. BTW, It also charges my Apple itouch and phones through the USB powered jacks. I highly recommend this to all.
