I bought one a few months ago and absolutely love playing it. This is my first ukulele so I can't compare to others, but I can easily play this for 3-5 hours at a stretch and the time just flies by. Nice tone, solid build, easy to use tuners and the strings, once they stretch, are stay in tune. I had a bit of buzz on the C string when I bought it, but a quick steam fixed it. I've been using a humidifier in it ever since and no more buzzing. I have 4 guitars and I like them, but I LOVE this ukulele.

I have only had this SMP-T for a week but I love playing it. It has an incredibly rich sound, great intonation, holds its tuning and looks great. I am a little disappointed in the action.... it's unnecesarily hard to bar chords especially as you work your way down the neck. My biggest complaint is the extremely sharp edge where the top meets the sides. I have a Martin soprano and an Oscar Schmidt concert and the edges are soft. The Lanikai is actually painful to the right forearm if you don't make a concerted effort to hold your arm away from the instrument. I love the sound and so will work on the bridge to improve the action. I'm not sure what to do about the edge.... I'm a bit leary of light sanding and marring the finish. Any suggestions?
