All the years of playing with stereo equipment, it never dawned on me that the correct size wiring would make a difference in the speaker connections. I was having trouble with my system putting out good sound in my shop. I have a Pioneer system and thinking that by itself was sufficient for my sound. I had used some telephone wire for speaker connection to some Bose speakers I had purchased. Since the telephone wire already has four individual wires inside an outer shield......that would be perfect. I had about 30 feet or so in between the speakers and receiver also.I found out that there was distortion when I turned the volume up. A friend suggested my speaker wire was too small so I invested in the 14/4 wire along with the 14/2. It sure made the world of difference too. I ordered the 250 foot spool in both wires. A little costly, but I think it's worth it to have good sound. If you're going to have expensive equipment,I guess you have to go all the way (including wiring), for the best listening experience.The reason for ordering the bigger spool is that I may use it in the future for my house speakers.........never know!!!! I would definitely recommend this product for anyone looking for speaker wire.

the wire appears to be heavy duty. We chose this type of wire to reduce the amount wire and to enhance the quality of our speakers. Was great to install. Love the quality of the wire, our speakers work great with it. evenly distributed. Thanks so much. Worth the money.
