Sound hole was off center, but the sales distributor offered a full refund and is paying for return shipping.If the sound hole was centered, I'd be exceptionally pleased with this instrument and would recommend it highly. It was beautiful and had great volume and very good intonation.

This ukulele is a beauty. Kala went all out when they created the looks of this charmer. If you love tonewoods... Lacewood is much like koa...so the tone of this uke compares well with solid koa ukuleles. I'd say maybe 10% of the people who heard this uke may be able to tell it from a solid koa. My son has a number of ukes but this is his favorite. It is well made & beautiful. He wanted the TENOR size because that's what Eddie Vedder & Jake Shimabukuro play! Tone compares well to ukes costing over $1000. Worth the investment!
