I have had this bike for a month, and it is by far the best spin bike I have purchased. Got it on Craigslist for $400 from a person that had a bad back and barely used it. I am a big guy at 250+ pounds, the the left crank on the bike I had before, the ProForm 209SPX, broke on me! I had the ProForm for a little over two years for $199, so it was inexpensive and was fine for a while, even though the movement of the pedal was less than smooth....sometimes it would "slip" a bit, but not enough to stop my workout. But after the crank broke, I wanted a bike that was rated for 300lbs, and the BodyCraft was one of them. I do not rate the narrow seat as a con below because all spin bikes come with them, but I HAVE to have the beach bike jell seat, as a bike for an average of 60 minutes I do a sit/stand rotation to increase my heart rate and not sit so long. I recommend getting a heart rate monitor to set your workout pace.PROS: The pedal operation is smooth, quiet, and solid. Well made bike designed for a 300lb person. The moving parts are covered so that sweat does not get on them.CONS: The seat and handlebars do not use the typical setup where a metal bar goes through a hole; instead, a bar tightens against smooth metal. Thus the seat fell down on me a couple of times. I resolved this by drilling a hole and bolting the seat in the position I wanted. Not a big deal considering the quality operation of the bike.RECOMMENDATION: Highly recommended! I have had two spin bikes. If I had combined what I paid for them (total of $400) and added another $400, I could have had ONE good bike. However, I did not want to pay the higher prices of the better quality bikes, and they did work....for a while. Look at Craigslist and you may find one like I did, but even if you do not, this bike is worth the price at Amazon ($949---was down to $799 recently!).
