By Don D. Dieker
These cost 1/10 the price of a Dealer quote, without installation. When these arrived I removed my old lights and compared weights. The new and old lights were within a fraction of an ounce of one another. A trial fit of the lights revealed a small fitment problem. There is a plastic ear at the sidewalk end of each light. This ear fits into around hole on the body of the vehicle, as an aid to getting the lights installed. On the factory light this plastic ear is round, and on the replacement, this ear is rectangular. Does not fit into the hole in the car body. Perhaps this is because the lights fit more than one model, or perhaps there is some patent issue here.Anyway, 10 seconds of careful work with a Drem*l (could have used a carpenter's knife) changed the rectangular tab to a square tab, which then fit the alighment hole perfectly.Edit: I have since decided that the 'alignment tab' is really just a tab to help in the automated installation of the headlight. Once the mounting nuts are attached, the tabs serve no purpose.Lights went in fine. Took my time with the first one, (about 30 minutes). The second one was faster. There is more space around the lights than with stock. The lenses themselves are the same size (looks like the same mold), but the black trim around the lights is thinner. No problem. The underhood area is designed to withstand air and rain...I don't expect any problem. The old lights had space around them also. The trim is for visual appeal. These lights pass the 10 foot test very well (can't tell the difference from 10 feet away). These lights came with bulbs installed (don't touch the bulb glass with fingers, or if you do, clean with alcohol afterward). Two notes: 1) Do not mess with the three screws on top of each light assembly holding the cover over the bubble. This is factory set.2) In order align these lights yourself, get a 4mm (yes, that small) socket. This will be 1/4 inch drive socket. You can do the job with this alone, as long as you don't mind removing the radiator overflow tank. If you want to avoid removing the overflow tank then get this : A & E Hand Tools 5529A 4mm X 5mm Ford Headlight Adjusting Wrench, available on Amazon. Yes, I know it says Ford, but you need some way to get to that 4mm adjustment between the overflow tank and the passenger side headlight.

By AL
These are the proper headlights for the 1999 chrysler town and country headlights. Very reasonably priced, chrysler wants over 300 per light. (that would double the value of my van...165000 miles...) My lights came with a small alignment tab broken off. I didn't even try to get them replaced, It was very minor...
