Product Description

The Field Ops watch includes our revolutionary SureShot calculator. In a partnership with Horus Vision, makers of proven long-range ballistic software, we give you the ability to input thirteen critical variables needed for long range shooting solutions quickly and easily. Shooting solutions are provided in Mils, True Minute of Angle (TMOA) and Shooter’s Minute of Angle (SMOA). We’ve beefed up the pins, sealed the watch for 1 meters of water resistance and given you a switchable backlight so you can see your data when you need it and turn the light off when you dont. The Field Ops Watch has all the features you’ll need for work and play. We’ve included digital day and date, and two digital time zones. Along with an audible alarm, there is an hourly chime, a countdown, timer and you can check your lap times with a digital chronograph. We’ve included an omni-directional bezel along with a backlight. The Field Ops Watch also has a fully functional digital compass which can be adjusted for true north readings. And last but not least, we’ve given you a full function ballistic calculator. The SureShot calculator accepts thirteen critical shooting variables to give you point of impact shooting solutions out to 1 meters. Input your known ballistic data (bore height, ballistic coefficient, muzzle velocity and zero range), then add your environmental data (range, temperature, altitude, inclination) and the SureShot calculator will give you a shooting solution in MILS, TMOA or SMOA. You can even get your solution in clicks for both windage and elevation. The calculator is very easy to use and most of the variables can be put into the Field Ops Watch before going out to the field. The Field Ops Watch has a high-density polycarbonate case which is lightweight and tough. The mineral glass crystal face is scratch resistant and reduces glare. We’ve included an extended length band so that you can wear your watch over outerwear or a glove.

2Not as good as it should be.
By geoffrey brooks
This watch looks great. The ergonomics on this watch are outstanding as well. However, the glass on the face of the watch is extremely cheap. After having the watch for only 1 week the face already has a scratch on it. This is not a hard use everyday watch. I have a casio with 2 years wear that has less damage. This should be a better watch for this price. do your self a favor and buy a G-shock.

5Afghanistan
By Infantry13
I purchased this watch about 7 months ago, in the early part of my deployment to afghanistan. With the rough, and tough work I do this watch had no problem keeping up.. The Ballistic calculation option has really advanced my civilian shooting talent as well! I purchased a suunto as well, and well the suunto broke and the 5.11 is still on my wrist! Overall Best Watch I Have Ever Owned@!!!

5Excellent watch
By Tyler J. Finney
I have had this watch for about one year now and have been very happy with it. I have the OD color, and surprisingly, I get occasional compliments from men and even more women about how my watch is "cool" or "bad-@#%".Beyond looks, it has a lot of features. I havent had to rely on the compass, but if you go through its quirky initial setup it seems to be pretty reliable and accurate. However, if you dont bother following the instructions precisely the thing can be way off. The Sure Shot ballistics calculator is a neat feature, but you really need to read through the manual to grasp its functions and needed input. Otherwise you are waisting your time because scope adjustments will not be accurate. In general, although this feature is novel, all the added variables that must be entered using only 3 buttons becomes cumbersome and slow, and in the real world a shooter must be able to move much faster than I believe this system would allow, making it impractical.Other more useful features are: 3 time zone clocks, an alarm, a five minute timer, a stop watch, and day of the week, day, and month options.Physical features include a multi-directional turning bezel, and an extended watch band for wearing over heavier clothes during operations, which uses a metal quick-release buckle. The buckle on mine has never come undone on accident.Overall I am very pleased with this watch and the only design quark I dislike is the fact you have to use two identical alan/hex keys to unscrew pins you have can take off BOTH straps to remove the back plate for the battery. It's pretty annoying, but fortunately something not needed to be done often, and therefor does not affect my 5/5 rating of this watch.
