The Black Magic Catcher Box Set from Easton is made with a smaller design specifically for beginning youth players. The Black Magic Helmet delivers full face and head impact protection with a tough ABS shell and a steel cage. The helmet's lock-down closure attachment system offers a secure fit and ease-of-use. The Black Magic Leg Guards have a protective PE shin plate design with double kneecaps for mobility behind the plate. The chest protector features a double back adjustment mechanism with an easy to use Velcro closure attachment that offers growing players a custom fit.

I bought this set for my 8/9 year old son. He loves it. It looks great...just like the pros! It is slightly too big, but we made some adjustments to the chest protector and it works. Easton makes some pretty good stuff. I think the chest protector should come with more adjustments. He is doing great with the equipment behind the plate. I would purchase it again. Amazon, Easton, and the seller were top notch!

I ordered two sets of equipment in for my son's 9u baseball team; ordered one in black and silver and another in red and silver. The equipments looks sharp, the kids loved it! I would recommend this equipment!

I bought this for my 9 year old son who is 52" tall and weighs 68 pounds. The leg guards are big for him but he was able to move around well in them. He wore the knee saver pads (purchased separately)with them. We set the chest protector to the smallest size and that fit him OK too. The helmet consists of two pieces -- the main piece with the face mask and the back of the head piece that attaches with four elastic straps. One of the attachment snaps came off of the helmet and I thought it was broken at first but was able to snap it back into place. There's plenty of room for growth in the pieces so hopefully he should be able to wear the whole set for the next few seasons. The equipments seems durable and is easy enough for him to put on everything by himself. The box said this set is for ages 9-12. He wanted it for an early birthday present and loves it.
