Get ROK'n is a young builder's introduction to Rokenbok remote control interaction. This set combines our full function remote control Dump Truck with ROK Blocks, the revolutionary preschool building blocks, and a Motorized Conveyor with chutes and loading docks for sorting and delivery. All the action is controlled by the ROK Star Controller which can control any number of Rokenbok machines with a single, wireless controller.

As I guessed, from the big hairy adult hands shown operating the toy's remote controls in the Rokenbok video ads, these builder toys are a BIG challenge and a source of frustration for little kids. Nevertheless, my grandson is fascinated with trains, dump trucks, garbage trucks and any other vehicle that moves. He has more or less managed to figure out the controls enough to get things moving--with a LOT of adult help. I will also say that I had a devil of a time removing the screws in all the components--and came dangerously close to stripping two of them!-- when I first installed the batteries. I'd suggest that Rokenbok: 1-not screw them in so tightly, 2-use tougher screws, less susceptible to being mangled, 3-include a small screwdriver, of the exact right size. Not an outrageous suggestion, given the high cost of these toys! OR AT LEAST: 4- include a few extra screws in a separate ziplock bag, just in case. Currently, I've got them screwed in loosely with a bit of tape securing the battery lids. At some point I will go to the hardware store in search of replacement screws of better quality.

We got my grandson a Rokenbok starter set for his third Christmas. His sister, two years younger, played with her toys alongside the Rokenbok for about four years, becoming increasingly interested in wanting to use parts of the Rokenbok for her zoo set and other toys. Being a good brother, my grandson would allow her to take beams and even the occasional vehicle for her own use.Finally, it became obvious she wanted to really participate in playing with the full Rokenbok set. When asked if she wanted a Rokenbok of her own, she enthusiastically answered, "Yes!" We ordered her the ROK'n YOung Builder & Action Set and things have not been the same since. She, at age 6, loves the sounds the truck makes and the freedom of the wireless remote control. She maneuvers her vehicle around my grandson's creations, carefully avoiding conflicts with his vehicles, beams, tracks, etc.My granddaughter loves to set up her conveyer to sneak the red and blue balls into parts of my grandson's creations when he isn't looking. The YOung Builder Set has whetted her appetite, and she is subtly hinting that she could do a lot more with just a few more parts. Needless to say, we are going to get her additional Rokenbok parts for Christmas.Not content with the building part of the Rokenbok, my grandkids also take their vehicles, without the rest of the Rokenbok sets, to other parts of the house and have races around the tables, chairs, pillows, etc.Rokenbok is the only toy(?) that has for nearly 5 years kept my grandchildren occuppied for hours at a time and has never been relagated the closet or attic. Heaven help us if we try to put the Rokenbok away! The Rokenbok parts are extremely well-designed. From age 3 to his current 8 years, my grandson and his sister have treated the vehicles, the elevators, the conveyers, beams, chutes, etc. extremely roughly, and in ways in which we did not expect them to survive. It is a tribute to the Rokenbok designers that every item has survived unscathed, except for the snap ends of three beams; adult stepped on one, kid stepped on another, and a kid fell on the third one. The batteries last for unbelievably long times; after nearly five years, we are on our third set of batteries!!Way to go, Rokenbok!! The greatest toy we have seen for developing young minds!!

Wow! We've played with Rokenbok for many years and are so excited about the new wireless system! When you have a toy that your kids play with for hours a day, for weeks on end, you know you have a great toy. Our whole family highly recommends Rokenbok!
