If you've been waffling on getting one of these because of the cost... fear not. The construction is absolutely tip top and they can take quite a beating. Although the instructions say you shouldn't bang them together, it seems you can indeed bang them together and even into walls and people and they don't really take any meaningful damage.

Some people moan and complain about the gold color on this saber not being the right shade, like the Master Replicas version. They also complain that the blade (which uses blue and red LEDs because purple is too expensive or something)is a lighter shade of purple than Mace's in the movies. Well, you know what? The hilt still looks gorgeous and the light purple blade is still a sight to behold, even looking more solid than the last MR version. The speaker is a bit quieter than the removable blade versions, though. I would HIGHLY recommend this saber to any (mature) Star Wars fan, especially if Mace Windu is one of your favorite Jedi!

I ordered the Mace Windu Force FX Lightsaber recently and it's not as impressive as my other 2 (Hasbro Yoda lightsaber and Master Replicas Darth Vader Lightsaber) The color of it seems dull and washed out, it almost looks blue, not the purple i expected. The handle is bulkier than i expected but looks striking, the chrome and gold really make it look great on the wall with my others. All in all decent, but not what i expected from this line.
