We purchased both this product and the similar appearing Drive Medical Super Light, Folding Transport Chair with Carry Bag, Blue in order to keep one in each car for transporting my elderly father.The Drive chair has a few items which make it stand out over the slightly more expensive Karma chair, mainly the wheels roll with less resistance since they are narrower and the back of the seat comes up and out away from the back of the chair cushion as a push handle while with the Karma one has to grasp the back of the seat and your knuckles are pressing right into the back of the rider.The Karma chair has a much slicker folding mechanism (you simply squeeze the release lever hidden under your right hand as you push the chair from behind while with the Drive chair you have to reach under the chair and pull the chain from both sides to allow it to fold) but both chairs can be easily folded in less than five seconds once you know the tricks.Both chairs are extremely well built and comfortable for transport distances, but we have also taken both chairs for strolls of several miles and they remained comfortable and handled curbs, boardwalks and cobblestones with no more than the expected jouncing (meaning no parts coming loose, etc).We would happily recommend either chair, and I would love to see a few accessories available for the Karma which would really make it ideal, namely a push bar extension to allow full strides while pushing the chair and the option of swap-able narrower wheels to reduce rolling resistance.
