After having tried throw rugs and bath mats to protect my floor from drums, I decided this time to see if there was anything specifically for drum sets. This floor mat works incredibly well. I have it on a linoleum floor, and it is big enough to protect the floor from both the kit and the throne. The best thing about it is that it grips the Velcro bottoms of my pedals and the electronic bass drum like crazy. I have been pounding away for three weeks now, including double bass drum, and everything is still stuck to the mat where I put it. I haven't had to even use the spikes on the pedals, which is great because I don't want to ruin the floor. The only downside to this mat is that the Velcro sticks so well, it is hard to place the pedals because once they touch the mat, you cannot slide them at all. This is actually a good thing. This mat has been worth every penny so far.
