Welcome to the wonderful line of Hills Brand clotheslines. Hills is known internationally for quality and durability, and their clotheslines are now readily available here in America. The Rotary 6 is our most compact rotary (Hoist) in Ocean Breeze (Blue). Latch and secure the arms and use the handle to raise the lines an additional 18in. Hang your wash, sheets, quilts and comforters are not a problem for this line. Once fully raised the Rotary 6 will catch the breeze and spin in the wind while gently drying your laundry. The finely engineered lines are individually strung so there is no fear of a line breaking and having to restring the entire rotary. This fabulous folding line hoist holds a medium size family's wash with a total line length of almost 105ft (32 m). Diameter of Rotary head is 9.8ft (3.1m), leave 3.3ft (1m) clearance. The Rotary 6 comes with a ground socket that is easily set into the ground with gravel and cement. A set of spacers to raise the height of your rotary, if needed. A ground socket cap to be used if you remove the unit and complete instructions. 10 year guarantee against defect. Line drying reduces your energy costs and extends the life of your clothing. we've used a clothesline for 40 years and thought "what's to improve"? Space and design limitations led us to consider spending a few bucks on an umbrella style clothesline. While reading the reviews of the $40 one I assumed I'd buy I saw a reference to the Hills Rotary so I checked it out: seemed crazy....$300 for a clothesline??? (the Rotary 8)- that's 1/2 the cost of a Bosch gas dryer! However, there weren't any bad reviews so when we saw the Rotary 6 for much less we decided to spring for it. What a great product. It came out of the box ready to use except for a hole in the ground. 2 sacks of gravel and 3 of concrete and that was it. One thing...we assembled the top and bottom sections to see how much room it would take and then found no way to separate them. Installation was a bit harder as a result. In use it's really nice. It raises and lowers and spins easily. Since we've only used had it a few days we don't know how durable it will be but it seems very well built.
