At 71 years old, getting up in the back of a 4x4 had become quite a chore for me. So, I bought this step to go under my back bumper. It works great. You can extend it out and put it back in with just a touch of your toe and it's built like an anvil. Also, customer service is great. The gal that answered the phone was very helpful and pleasant to talk to.

This is real nice quality product just wise i would have waited and got the one for the R/H - However works great only issue was that my camper tie down inserts had a clearance problem that was easy to fix with a grinder and paint ( Notched the insert stiffener )

Fifteen minutes and it was installed, I do have pneumatic tools though. The design makes the install a snap with hand tools. Whether you have a lifted truck or not this product makes getting into the bed so much easier, tailgate up or down! Tucks in and out of the way for a nice fit and finish! I did use loctite for the fasteners.
