The brilliant lush pearlized orange that has been the trademark color of the Dolcevita pen body now takes over the cap for full-on glow of Mediterranean sun from top to bottom. Each pen of fine resin is hand turned by Italian artisans in Naples. The central ring is hand-engraved sterling silver in a Pompeian motif and the clip features a wheel for smooth pocket clipping; both are coated in gold for an elegant finish. This Delta fountain pen is a medium-sized piston filler with a control knob to draw ink from a bottle and a transparent reservoir for checking your ink level. It poses a smooth 14k gold nib.

Happy Birthday to Me!I've several fountain pens and this is right at the top of my list. The ink flows extremely well, the fine nib isn't too firm and the balance is very nice in the hand. A large pen but not as large as the Conway Stewart "Churchill" (of course, that's a huge pen). What amazed me about the pen is how well this pen is made. This is my first Delta and I'd not hesitate to buy another.What others do I own? Older Parkers (1920's), Mont Blanc, Conway Stewart Churchills (1 bespoke version) and a very fine Omas celluloid which I love dearly but that has a medium nib on it. Delta may be a newer company than some of these others but the quality is amazing. One of my favorite fountain pens, right there with the Omas.
