This product is my first DC statue. Gary Franks art comes to life. This review is going to be more about Amazon than about the statue...because this experience could have scared me away from such delicate items.I received the statue on a Tuesday night, and the shipping box had been slightly pushed in on one end...but no signs of abuse during delivery. The inside was packed tight and the statue box was mint condition, no problems. I carefully unpacked the statue to check for hidden damage and found one of the robots legs was not attached at the hip. It was not broken, just unglued. Everything else was perfect. I carefully repacked the item and made out the exchange forms on Amazon. Within hours I was looking at an Email saying my item had shipped. I sent the damaged statue back Wednesday morning and by Wednesday night the new one was on my porch. The replacement statue was delivered in perfect condition. I am not going to point fingers at UPS or Amazon as to why the first statue was damaged...for all I know it could be a production issue. The bottom line is Amazon made it right. Fast. Thanks to them, I feel more than comfortable ordering statues on Amazon in the future.

I have been a long time statue collector-this is a beautiful piece. It is beautifully detailed. It is very fragile and needs to be kept clean with a paint brush with soft bristles. It has a low edition size which makes it an attractive collectable for eventual scarcity/great paint job also. The R foot does not line up well with the insertion site though-makes this easily breakable- DC Direct needs to take this into account.
