i bought this for my girlfriend for her birthday, i opened up the box and the chain was only connected on one side of the horseshoes. i picked it up and was looking at it. when i picked it up my hand slipped and tugged it just a little bit and the chain snapped it 3 spots. do not buy this except if you plan on putting a new chain on it. the chain is a cheap made in china piece of garbage.

Love the horseshoes, however the chain is very, very short. A child size necklace and since the horseshoes are chained on both sides I had a jeweler replace the chain so that was another $100.

I purchase this item for my wife for Mother's Day since she has a white Arabian and brown (buckskin) Standard Bred horses - and she loved it. The diamond horseshoe sculpture seems to be of very good quality. The neclace chain is pretty short though. I would say most women will have to have it lengthened or add an extension to the back like my wife did. It would probably fit a child or younger teenager just fine though. Unlike a few of the reviews of this item, we didn't really see anything "cheap" about the chain or the sculpture at all. It seems to be of normal quality silver and as sturdy as any of the other similar pieces we've seen or handled.
