First of all, the large size of this bed is really more like a medium in other brands. My 50 lb dog fits perfectly in it. If you have a large lab, retriever, greyhound, etc., it will be too small. The cover is one peice that has seperate zip inserts for the center cushion and circular donut ring. (The ring is a fully attached 360, unlike many other donut "rings" that are straight bolsters). Is very easy to take it appart and put it back together, and it washes up really nicely. Because it is one peice, my dog can't pull out the center cushion and chew on it, and it stays cleaner without things failing under the cushion. It is very fluffy and will spring right to life from the vacuum packaging. My dog loves it and seems to prefer it to my own bed! My only complaint is that it is made from very cheap materials. The faux suade is not a high tech material that masks odor and stains. It is paper thin and shows drule and other wet stains. The insert material is not washable and is also made with paper thin cover. It is a very different product than the more expensive Bowser bed that I had for four year. Bowser has awesome highly durable material and construction, but lacked enough cushiness.

My pug loves this bed he likes to lay in it and prop his head on the side, he sleeps there for hours. The bed is well made and the fabric is very nice.
