By AK
These little chips run very fast with tuning. Most are unlockable to 4 cores and they run fairly cool. Maxed out they are still quite a bit cooler than the PII X4's.These little chips make great cpu's for all-around use and budget gaming too. Be aware though the stock heatsink is crap. Try a nice inexpensive TX3 with this and you have a great low cost combo.

By john
All i have to say is wow. i am impressed. This processor runs super fast. destroys everything i throw at it. With certain motherboards you can unlock the forth core (which i did) and it becomes a phenom II x4 B45 processor. This processor performs better than the i3-2100,and it rates a 7.3/7.9 on the windows 7 rater. This little chip is great for gaming or business.Do not hesitate to buy this! you will not be disappointed!

By vince
This is a serious question......why would you?! For the performance/dollar ratio, it's unbeatable....Like most other reviews will point out: this is a quad core! Most motherboards should not give you a problem unlocking it. If they do, upgrade your bios and you should be set.A 3.2ghz quad core that runs quite cool (about 43c idle/55c load with limited air flow and a stock cooler, around 33c idle/45 load with a $20 cooler) for $65??!?!?!?I never thought I'd see the day. Many of my friends and I run these chips and LOVE them.It won't beat out my i5 750 @ 4.2ghz under tests and heavy loads, but at the same time I won't ever really notice the difference.Any time a friend is thinking about starting a build I get them to get one of these. Save $100 on just a chip? Yes please. I'd rather put the money into a SSD boot drive, a better GFX card, and/or better power supply. If you run this chip in an extreme gaming rig with the same exact setup as another computer minus the fact that it had an i7....you would see very little difference (in gaming). Anyone that wants to argue about this will do so all day, but there's no point in listening to elitists when it comes to this CPU... just get it.
