Great tights... but back ankle zipper do not stay close... If you run a race, you won't have time to mess with them!!!

I only took up serious running about six months ago, and here in the south, the weather has been warm enough that I haven't needed these until recently. I struggled with what to buy, as there are so many different men's running tights at price points from $12 (Wal-Mart) up to literally hundreds of dollars. These seemed to offer a high quality product at a not unreasonable price, so I picked these as my first "high-end" tights. It turns out my selection was spot on. First of all, these really live up to the name "tights". The compression is firm and once the tights are on and any wrinkles in the fabric are stretched out, you can hardly tell you are wearing anything, but you definitely feel the difference when you start moving. The compression is even, solid, and highly fluid, making for excellent running and motion. Overall design is smart, right down to zippers on the ankles, which are great for being able to pull on (or off) whatever sock you like. They even thought to include soft rubber "grabbers" on the cuffs to really keep the tights in place, whether over a sock or a bare leg. There's a pocket on the back for keys or whatever, which is handy. Best of all, the fabric breathes really well, so even though they keep my legs warm and comfortable while running, I'm also able to wear them to bed and not overheat. This has really helped to improve a bad case of runner's knee that I've been struggling with for months, now. They even enable me to run without my otherwise ever-present knee brace! I think they look sharp and though I was unsure about wearing these outside without shorts or something over them, I haven't had any sideways glances that a 40-something-year-old guy in tights might get. (With a compression shirt on, my wife says I look like a "diver".) These tights are sporty and fashionable, improve performance, provide support, and promote healing, and they come from a brand that knows running gear, Saucony. Although I'm going to buy a few different pairs of tights over the coming months to find my personal optimum equipment, I'm really thinking that my first choice will end up being my best. At least, I know it's going to be tough to find another pair of tights that matches or beats everything these Saucony's have to offer, regardless of how much I spend.
