When my doctor told me about compression tights, I thought he was crazy. I'm a dancer and actually do my workout in tights, leotards, leggings, etc. so what good would compression tights be? Can't I just stay in my dance garb for a few hours after my workout?In short: no. That's gross. And even if I put on fresh tights, apparently the technology in true post-workout compression tights is totally different. So I waited until I had a workshop class (five hours of ballet with 30 minutes for a light meal/snack, plus 30 minutes of stretching, total). By the third hour, my toenails are bruised and I'm cramping ever so slightly. I knew this workout would put the compression pants to the test. Previously, I had trouble walking and going up stairs since my calves were so sore after this workout.My workshop ended at 8pm. After all of my post-workout activities, I put the pants on at 10pm and just slept in them. The next day: virtually no soreness! Some tightness in my calves and that's it! It took my post-workout condition from Basically Useless to Slightly Uncomfortable but Totally Functional.The compression socks my doctor recommended were the same price as these pants, so I thought these were the better deal. However, I wish Saucony made a footed tight since my feet really need it (and I'm sure all the other types of athletes out there could use some recovery on their feet). For the price, they're beyond great. I think theyre are more customized fits with the other brands. Im 5'11" and these run short on me (like everything else...). As with all your tech fabrics: wash cold, mild soap, no softener, line dry, otherwise you'll render them useless after a wash or two...
