Very nice upgrade
By AEBell
Nice upgrade. I bought this to replace the tone pump that came with my Spector Rebop bass. This in combination with the EMG-40DC pickups made for a significant upgrade to the bass. Great sound, great control. Easy to install with the solderless system. I had it installed and playing in just over an hour. Not bad at all.

A good 3-band EQ
By lowtones
I recently acquired a Steinberger XM-2 that had passive controls and I decided to go with more flexibilty so I purchased this system. The XM-2 has MIA active EMG's and the previous owner had already drilled an extra hole for an EMG boost switch, so I didn't feel bad about having to drill anything new. I also wanted to keep it brand consistent. It's a powerful tone system - Volume, Blend, Stacked Bass/Treble and a sweepable Mid. I particularly like that feature. I have some basses with Aguilar OBP-3's (also excellent) but they only offer 2 frequency choices that can be toggled with a switch or a push/pull pot. Granted the choices are effective, but not the same as a sweep. An excellent preamp from the people at EMG.

Awesome controller
By André Barbosa
It gives you really much of a flexibility. The 12dB on each controller gives you infinite possibilities for equalizing. Not noisy at all. I've installed in my Ibanez SR886-Japan (6 strings) and it sounds fat and great.Personal feeling about the concentric is that I'm not very glad with it because I like quick access during the song, so having independent knobs gives you more ease-to-access. I totally recommend it.
