It's just like the other reviewers say, get what size you think you need, then go up one size. It does run a bit small, and the leather was very stiff and dry when it showed up. But it was nothing a little Neatsfoot oil and some time couldn't fix. You could watch the leather soak up the oil it was so stiff and dry but after one application, it's soft and works nice. Just make sure you go one size larger than you think you want.

Was having a difficult time determining the size to order.... Decided to measure husband at hips where he wanted the belt to sit, and it ended up being 2+ inches too big. Also, one of the ties snapped off when trying it on. Contacted seller and they have been very responsive so far, but still waiting for the smaller size to arrive.I would highly recommend that the seller provide a sizing chart!! Besides that, the leather is stiff and will require conditioning. Quality seems good for the price and my husband seems pleased with the gift.
