I've been using this iMac i7 a couple of weeks now. Have previously used an iMac and this was an upgrade. And quite an upgrade it is. 27" screen is massive and super resolution. I added 8GB to the RAM, so 12GB total. Super fast for my use. Could add another 4GB RAM, but not needed for my purposes; already super fast.And the product specs were exactly as claimed on the website. Shipment was prompted, and it arrived in perfect condition, which I was a bit worried about given the size of the box and the fact that it was a fragile electronics/screen. But no problem.Given the cost and that it was an online purchase, I took it to the Apple store to check-out before using. Perfect shape. Also, recommend buyers online get the Apple Care product at the Apple store and use the One-on-One service for Apple tech doing the copying of data to the new machine. Worth the small cost to have someone at Genius bar get it all set to go.So far I'm extremely happy with this purchase.

I was reluctant at first to move to an iMac due to its lack of internal expansion options. I had previously owned PowerMacs because of their flexibility (although my wife has owned several iMacs). However, given the performance specs, availability of inexpensive external storage, and ample RAM (boosted mine from 4 to 12GB) I decided to purchase the i7 2.93GHz iMac.The machine is quite fast at handling photos and home movies. I am also using Parallels 6.0 with Windows XP and Vista without a problem and it runs seamlessly on the iMac. I consider 4 stars to be "very satisfied" and 5 stars to be "exceeded expectations". Given the price of the unit compared to Windows machines and balancing the pros/cons below I would say I am "very satisfied with this unit.
