this is incredible. It's 10 degrees out and the main room is toasty with the heat off.I stumbled on this when I was searching for an insert to convert a wood burning fireplace to gas. I have electric heat and the fireplace was sucking the heat out of the house. I decided to try this before converting, and I am glad I did. it took some work to install, but it will pay for itself in the electric bills this winter, and I get to keep a marvelous old stone fireplace in it's natural state.I highly recommend it. but f you aren't handy, plan on having a professional installation, and you will still come put ahead in heat savings.
