Product Description
The Wusthof Gourmet line features a precision-stamped blade of high-carbon stainless-steel that sharpens easily and holds its edge. The compression rivets securely attach the high-impact handles to the full tang for superior balance and maneuverability. The come-apart kitchen shears feature bevel- and serrated-edge blades of high-carbon stainless-steel to cut apart chicken, snip herbs and cut parchment paper. Using the adjustable gripper teeth below the handles, this tool also opens jar lids and bottle caps. The handles on these shears pull apart to clean and sharpen blades. 17-slot hardwood block. Lifetime manufacturer warranty on cutlery.

I love Wusthof classic knives. I have given multiple sets as gifts to friends and family but I would not recommend the Gourmet set. The knife edge is sharp but the overall construction seems to be cheep. My wife did not like how the knives fit in the block. Of course that does not matter for the use of the knives but, she could not get over it so we had them returned.

I was skeptical about these knives because I didn't think we needed to spend this much money on knives. However after getting and using them I am very glad that my husband insisted on spending the money becasue they are a great set of knives and I really love them.

The knife set is as promised. My wife who uses it more often than myself, can't say enough good about it. I do wish they would have set sharping recommendations. They won't stay sharp forever.
