The product works but you have to self-discover how to use it. The manual isn't very good, it goes on and on about the video/DVR features but it's unclear and doesn't provide much of any info on how to use the product or what to expect for any given selection; lots of guesswork to figure out proper use. Out of the box the video screen setup text was backwards and upside down (firmware glitch??). After a fair amount of fiddling with the video buttons I figured out how to get it turned around. The LED's have to be full-on (95% to 100% Brightness) for any light inside a dark pipe. At first I thought they didn't work (total darkness from 0% to 90%). There is no discussion of the camera centering balls in the manual. The unit came with a small one (1-1/2"), which was attached on camera, and a large one (2-1/4"). But, the large one doesn't fit, the hole is too small; system relies on a stretch fit so one must be careful pushing the ball on and pulling it off. If you modify the ball by opening up the hole a bit the ball may then pull off inside the pipe, stretch fit is not the best design. I plan on making and placing retaining rings fore and aft to hold the ball in place on the camera body.
