First an explanation about why I purchased the Case-Mate hipster combo. I had just returned an Otter I previously purchased to the Verizon Store. I returned the Otter because the first evening I wore it clipped to my belt I was at the super market and went around a corner and bumped the phone in the case against a shelf and the entire case with phone went flying to the floor.The phone survived unscathed but what had happened was that the belt clip had snapped open from the belt lock position to the position used to set the phone tilted upright on a flat surface. After experimenting with it I was able to easily, too easily, switch back and forth between both positions.I bought the Otter because I wanted something to secure the phone when out in the woods and after seeing how insecure the Otter belt clip was I realized I had no confidence that it wouldn't just fall off without me realizing it when moving through thick brush or whatever.So after looking at several other brands I decided on a Case-Mate because I liked the way it slid over my belt like a sidearm holster. What I really would have liked was a case I could loop my belt through as some gun holsters do. The first night I wore the Case-Mate attached to my belt on the right side, while getting out of my car in the garage my right thigh must have pushed the case up and off my belt and case and phone went flying onto the concrete floor. The case did protect the phone and it was OK.It fell off my belt twice after that, so now I just carry the phone in my pocket and feel more secure that it's going to stay with me. My biggest worry now is if I should trip while running or climbing the glass could get damaged.Still looking for a secure lightweight case with a belt loop.

love the thin, black matte case. Really thin. I love the holster that clips to my belt. Easy slip in and out.Not a fan of the plastic screen protector. It attracts oils like crazy. Took it off. Don't miss it.

Just bought my iPhone 4 from Verizon about 3 weeks ago and based on a friend's recommendation I bought the Case Mate "Barely There" case and matching holster. I must say I am quite pleased. The case is well thought out and well made. Snaps on quickly and easily and enhances the feel and grip of the iPhone 4. Personally - before the case arrived, I found the iPhone a bit slippery and not easy to grasp. The Case Mate case is terrific and looks good too. The Case Mate holster works perfectly with the iPhone 4 in the Case Mate case. The holster fits well on my belt; the phone stays snug and safe in the holster; but when I need to grab the phone to answer a call, the holster lid opens quickly and easily and I can take the iPhone out equally quickly and easily. Bottom line: A well made, well thought out, well designed iPhone 4 case and holster combination that is terrific if you carry your iPhone on your belt as I do 90% of the time. Highly recommended.
