I decided to buy this saddle stool to work and study more comfortably and ergonomically. The sloping sides let the legs stay straighter than while sitting in a normal chair. This helps relieve my hip-flexor leg pain that was developing from sitting in normal chairs for hours on end studying. I only have been using it for one day, and everything seems to meet my expectations.I am 5'4". The chair adjusts from 22" from the floor to the height of the saddle to 28".Pros:-Sloped saddle sides for good posture while working-Good padding-back rest (but I don't really use it that much)-metal ring to rest feet (but letting feet rest on the floor is also comfortable)-caster wheels are good quality and work well-easy to assemble, no tools required-overall good quality-metal frame and hydraulic column-small footprint for small apartment( rolls under desk when not needed- though my desk is 40")-hydraulic raise/lower lever works wellCons:-No assembly instructions (but none are really needed- there are only 4 pieces)-No tilt featureOverall, this saddle stool is worth it for my purposes. I also cut hair on occasion, and this is actually what these type of chairs are mainly used for. My favorite thing about it is that when I get up, I don't feel like my body gets "stuck" in a seated position like before where I had to do a lot of stretching and hobbling before I was walking normally again.

I LOVE THIS CHAIR, MY MOM AND I USE IT ALL THE TIME IN OUR KITCHEN AND IT HAS HELPED OUR PAIN GO DOWN. YOU CAN'T SIT FOR HOURS BUT YOU CAN SIT AND DO DISHES OR COOK A MEAL AND IT HELPS YOUR BACK. PRETTY HEAVY DUTY.
