4Looks good, quiet, good performance
By John B. Kirby
It is plastic, but it looks good, and is much better looking than competitive models. It is also very quiet on the 1 setting, and puts out a lot of moisture and the 9 setting, and can be set anywhere in between.the major drawback is that there is no way to tell how much water is in the reservoir. The unit holds 3.5 gallons, so when it is empty, I add 3 gallons. I have to wait until it is empty to fill it (which can happen anytime) when I am not around, there is no easy way to top it off in the evening.

3Not bad, but needs improvement
By Jordan Cazeault
I purchased this humidifier for a library, which is primarily dark woods and the white 821-000 model which is a very good unit stood out like a sore thumb. Fortunately, both units take the #1043 replacement wick. The pictures I saw of the product depict a rather rich looking appearance, but in the flesh its not so impressive. The fill level is somewhat confusing. Its a 1" plate saying max fill. Fill to the bottom/middle/top of the plate? Nothing in the manual on the subject. Filling it is a pain with a little door that makes pouring in water a precision operation to avoid spills. In addition, I needed a flashlight to see the water level to prevent overfilling. I have 2 of the 821-000 models and they are much easier to use. They should make a dark colored version of it where white is not a good option. I have also found that filling the units with filtered water greatly extends filter life and efficiency. Otherwise, if the water used has a high mineral content it will turn the filter into a cinder block in short order.

4Does what it is suppose to do, nothing more, nothing less
By jmh
Reading the reviews of this product, I was hesitant to purchase it, but comparing the other humidifiers on this site, I couldn't find one that was any better. That being said, I was afraid to buy it on line in case it needed to be returned so I purchased it locally. A couple of comments regarding it performance:Noise: Sounds like a pedestal fan, or box fan, really not that big of a deal for us. After a couple hours you forget that its actualy there. There are about 10 fan levels, you realy don't need that many, but it is nice to turn it down, if your listening to a movie, and then pump it up when you need the extra moisture.Filling the tank: The one feature I really like is that you just pop open a small door, and using a pitcher, fill it up, it holds 3 gallons. With our wood stove running non stop, and the humidifier set on medium to high fan level, we go through about 3 gallons every 24 hours, and it keeps the main living floor at 45 to 50 percent humidity. The unit keeps our 1700 sqft, 2 story house comfortable, we keep it by the stairs, so that the natural draft distributes the mositur evenly. One complaint, I wish it had a water level window, you don't know its full untill water is running on the floor, so we just put a gallon in it in the morning, and one at night, or just wait till it runs out completly. The remote control is usefull, but not nessecary. It is nice to see the humidity is on the other side of the room, not just right at the machine. The tile top is extremely fragile, be carefull. The plastic consol is just that plastic, not bad, but not great, though since it is a pedestal, it is not very obtrusive. We;ve been running it for 2 months now on well water and np problems, the wick still works and it does a good job. The concept is simple, a fan blowing across a large wick, like an auto air filter. Its not flashy, but it does it job.

5Good age appropriate toy
By N. Uhlir
I bought this toy for my three year old son as a present from his newly born baby sister. In a word, he "LOVES" this crane truck. He has played with it incessantly since he received it a few days ago. He even tried to sleep with it one night. Unfortunately (or fortunately), this truck is so huge that he had to settle for having it by his bedside at night. While my son's enjoyment of the truck is ultimately paramount, as a parent I have the following comments for other parents who may be thinking about investing in this truck for their child.THE GOOD:- Truck is HUGE (boom is 53" tall when fully extended)- Truck is a highly accurate model. Right down to the counterweights.- Although made entirely of plastic (with the exception of the tires), the materials are thick and have put up with some rough play for a while.- Bruder offers spare parts at relatively good prices. The BAD:- Price. Although big and accurate, the toy is made mostly of plastic. For this price, I would like to have seen at least some die cast parts.- The crank for the crane "cable" is plastic and relies on three small teeth that interlock with a gear to hold hook/cable at a specified length. Most three year olds (my son included) will likely have a problem understanding that the crank must be pulled outwards (to disengage the teeth) before the crank can be turned. I am certain that my son will break the teeth in short order. To be fair, this toy is designed for ages 4+, and the crank is probably the main reason why.- The first truck I ordered was damaged, either during the manufacturing process or during shipping. Amazon's RMA process was easy as usual, but it was frustrating because I could not give my son his present at the appropriate time. Another Bruder truck I ordered also had some minor damage when it arrived, but it wasn't worth it to me to return. I'm not sure who to blame, the manufacturer or the shipper.- Durability: Again, the toy is mostly plastic. Whether or not it will hold up over time remains to be seen. I suspect not.The Nice to Know:-The box recommends this toy for ages 4+. Having seen my 3 year old interact with it for a few days now, I can say with confidence that this really is a toy for a slightly older child. My son has great fun playing with the crane, but he will not "get" how all of the parts work until he gets a bit older, I think. My 5 1/2 year old nephew, however, immediately understood how to operate the crane and had great fun with it during a recent visit.- The one metal part included in this toy is the crane "hook." It is pretty easy to whip this hook around while the boom is extended. Parents may want to advise their children to be careful and monitor young children that play with this toy until they are comfortable that their child will not bonk themselves on the head. It would be analogous to being wacked on the head by a 3 ounce sinker while it was cast by a fishing rod. Talk about a big ouchie. I'm not saying the product is dangerous. It's not. Parents should just be careful to make sure that their child is aware of metal hook, particularly as it swings as the crane moves.OVERALL:-Great toy. Highly recommend for ages 4+. A careful 3+ year old would be fine too.

5Amazing truck
By bamboomaster
My son has an intensive collection of Bruder toys and this truck is the biggest heaviest and best looking of all. For $83 it's a steal. You will not be disappointed. Buy this truck and the Scania dump truck. You'll soon find your inner kid again.

5Perfect for School
By whoknew
I was at first a bit skeptical of this backpack but after reading the other reviews on amazon I decided to buy it. I will never regret it. I'm currently a University student and this backpack has everything I need. It fits three textbooks, a few spirals, an iPad and a MacBook Pro with ease. One of my favorite things about this is how well it sits on my shoulders. I walk around all day with it on my back and at times it feels like it is not even there. The only complaint I can think of is the nylon adjustable straps. They come loose far to easily, but with a few safety pins I was able to prevent them from sliding down at all.

5Stylish & comfy
By Jlk0605
I love this backpack. The laptop pocket fits my 13 inch MacBook Pro perfectly, and has enough room for my textbooks/notebooks/folders. There is also an iPad sleeve/pocket. There are a few pockets on the inside of the backpack as well - for USB cords, charger(s), and wireless mouse. I usually only carry the charger though, so I use the pockets for post-its, mini-stapler, etc. The thing I like the most about this backpack (next to its clean design) is the amount of padding. The bottom of the backpack is very well-padded, as well as the sides and the back. I know that even if I were to toss my backpack down, my laptop is protected... The inside laptop pocket is lined with plush faux-fur, for even more protection.I had a JanSport backpack for years, and what I hated the most was its lack of padding to keep the backpack sturdy/standing. The backpack would sag, and to better describe it, it was more of a zippered sack to hold the contents together. The Incase Compact Backpack is a winner, esp. for students like myself. The only negative thing to this backpack is that the nylon adjustable straps do come loose easily. This is NOT to say that the strap itself will undo itself and you will have to re-insert the strap into the plastic thingamajig(?) to keep it together... Let's just say it's a bit too easy to adjust the straps. It hasn't bothered me too much though, because I'm small, and I keep the straps to its max shortest length anyhow. I've been a fan of Incase products since their first making of very first iPhone case, and yes, they're not cheap, but for what you get (style, quality, design), it's worth it... Even more so on Amazon where you can find many products for cheaper than at retail cost!

5So glad I selected this backpack
By Mark
I have a 15" MacBook Pro with Retina Display packed inside a Thule cover. It fits in the bag's laptop slot like a glove - just perfect. There is also a slot for my iPad and room to spare for other accessories. The compact form is also a plus on my crowded commute on the bus.
